Ventura Bus Lines is continuing to invest in the wellbeing of its people, with more than 42 employees now trained in Mental Health First Aid across the business.
The latest training session was the third held at Ventura in the past 12 months and was delivered by The Mental Health Coach, giving employees practical skills to recognise when a colleague may be struggling and the confidence to start a conversation and offer support.
For Ventura, creating a safe workplace means looking at mental and physical health with the same care and importance.
With around 1,800 people working across our depots, workshops, operations and support teams, having trained Mental Health First Aiders throughout the business means there are more people who know how to recognise the signs that someone may need help and connect them with the right support.
The training forms part of Ventura’s broader commitment to employee health, safety and wellbeing and creating a workplace where people genuinely look out for one another.
Whether it’s behind the wheel, in the workshop, at a depot or in the office, safety at Ventura is about more than getting everyone home safely at the end of the day. It’s about supporting the whole person.
With more than 42 people now trained and our Mental Health First Aid network continuing to grow, we’re building a stronger culture of support across Ventura, one conversation at a time.
