Our Commitment to Reconciliation
Ventura acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of the Lands on which we operate. We pay our respects to Elders past and present and recognise the enduring connection of First Nations Peoples to Country.
The artwork was commissioned for Ventura and is called ‘Caring for Country’ by Alex Kerr.
Alex is a proud Wurundjeri man who is passionate about sharing and preserving First Nations’ culture.
Our Reconciliation Journey
As a Victorian public transport operator, we recognise our role in contributing to a more equitable and inclusive future. We are embedding Reconciliation principles into our culture, governance and operations through structured, measurable action.
Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP)
Ventura is currently progressing its Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP), with formal endorsement anticipated shortly.
Once endorsed, our RAP will outline measurable commitments across cultural awareness, employment pathways, procurement and governance.
RAP Working Group
Ventura’s RAP Working Group includes employees from across the organisation, including First Nations representatives, who provide guidance, lived experience and strategic input to shape our Reconciliation journey.
