    COVID-19 Frequently Asked Questions

We are closely monitoring the Coronavirus pandemic and have implemented countermeasures to help fight the spread of COVID-19 and ensure our customers and our employees safety.

We have employed additional cleaning staff who are using a concentrated alcohol based cleaning product to sterilize the interior of our buses at the end of each day and are now supplying our drivers with personal hand sanitizer to ensure that any interaction between our drivers and the general public are as safe as possible.

     QR Codes on public transport

The Victorian Government has rolled out QR codes in more than 440 key locations across the public transport network and is now installing QR codes on trams, trains and buses. QR codes help keep passengers safe, support the Department of Health’s contact tracing efforts and helps stop the spread of COVID-19.

You will now see QR codes in a range of locations, including tram stops in the Free Tram Zone, Metro and V/Line stations, replacement bus stops (when operating) and on trams, trains and buses.

Please check in every time you see QR codes at stations, platforms and stops and while you travel on trains, trams and buses. You should also register your myki and touch on and off as usual to assist with contact tracing efforts.

To find out more about how to travel safely on the public transport network, please visit Public Transport Victoria’s coronavirus information page.

    2019 Kiribati Donation

On July 22nd 2019 on behalf of everyone at Ventura we donated one of our 57-seater Volgren Scania buses to Kiribati School and Centre for Children with Special Needs. The school on Kiribati Island in the central Pacific Ocean had been struggling to get students to school due to a lack of suitable buses on the island. Despite the relatively small size of South Tarawa, for various reasons, these students cannot walk to school each day, nor is public transport accessible to them.

Without access to a dedicated school bus, these students, all of whom have great potential to be active and contributing members of society would simply be kept at home unable to reach their full potential. We were happy to be able to donate one of our vehicles to help make a difference in these children's lives.

“Young people struggle enough without having the challenges of a disability and we as a family company are honoured to donate a bus to get these students to school.”

    - Andrew Cornwall, Managing Director
