Ventura has been awarded funding through WorkSafe Victoria’s Recovery through Work – Physical Injury grant round to deliver a new initiative focused on supporting employee wellbeing, recovery and confidence.
The project, Driving Confidence in Transport, will strengthen pathways back to safe, meaningful work following physical injury, with learnings that could benefit the wider transport industry.
For Ventura, it is an opportunity to build on its commitment to caring for its people and provide practical support when they need it.
Working with Staunch Technology, Ventura will develop detailed profiles of workplace tasks to help identify duties suited to an employee’s capacity during recovery.
The initiative will also strengthen communication between employees, Ventura and healthcare providers, helping everyone understand the available options and plan a safe, supported return.
Ventura’s Executive General Manager – Safety & Sustainability, Patrice Scerri, said the funding would help turn a people-first approach into practical action.
“We want our people to feel supported and confident about what comes next when they’re recovering from an injury,” Patrice said.
“This funding gives us an opportunity to make that process clearer and more coordinated. By working closely with employees and their healthcare providers, we can better identify suitable duties that support their recovery and keep them connected with their colleagues.
“We’re proud to be developing an approach that can make a meaningful difference for our people and contribute to better practices across the transport industry.”
The project will focus on clearer options, stronger communication and greater confidence throughout recovery, recognising the value of helping people stay connected to meaningful work.
